A Research on the Teaching of Nihon-jijo in the World

在此研究之前，该课题组的国内成员长谷川、佐佐木、Sunakawa和Hosokawa参与了“日本文化与社会(日本文化与社会)对外国学生的教学研究”(1992-1993日本文化与社会研究计划，崇光A项目编号04301098)。在该项目中，我们调查了日本各大学的教学现状。本研究以收集到的资料为基础，探讨日本教法发展的理论阶段，将视野开阔到日本以外的地方，并搜集有关日本文化与社会教学实践的资料。我们试图用日本的项目覆盖尽可能多的机构。根据我们收集到的资料，在澳大利亚、夏威夷、斯洛文尼亚、法国、荷兰和香港的日本国内外的研究人员之间进行了不同的讨论，从而可以明确日本-日本的不同阶段。主要有以下几点：“日本教”本身很难定义，涉及的领域也各不相同。在日本以外的地方很少使用这个词。文化和社会教学因地区和制度的不同而有不同的特点，特别是在哲学和方法论上。我们的调查从数量上证明了许多被指出为轶事证据的特点。这为今后对《日本集注》的定性研究奠定了基础。从现在起，需要的是从理论上和实践上制定日本集结的实际内容。

Preceding this research, the domestic members of this research group, Hasegawa, Sasaki, Sunakawa, and Hosokawa were engaged in "A research on the Teaching of Nihonjijo (Japanese culture and society) to foreign students" (1992-1993 Monbusho Scientific research Program, Sogo A Project no.04301098). In that project, we made a survey of the actual state of teaching of Nihon-jijo at Japanese colleges and universities. Based on the data collected, a theoreticalphase of the development of teaching of Nihonjijo was pursued.In this research, we widened our view to outside of Japan, and collected information on the actual practice of teaching of Nihon-jijo (Japanese culture and society) in the world. We tried to cover as many institutions with Japaneseprograms as possible. Based on the data we collected, various discussions occured between research members in Japan and outside of Japan, who are in Australia, Hawaii, Slovenia, France, the Netherlands, and HongKong.As a result, we could clarity various phases of Nihon-jijo. The following are the main points :The world "nihon-jijo" itself is hard to define and the domain covered by it varies.The word is hardly used outside of Japan.Teaching of culture and society has different characteristics especially in its philosophy and metholodology depending upon the areas and institutions.A lot of characteristics which have been pointed out as anecdotal evidences are proved by our survey quantitatively. This gives the foundation to build a qualitative study of Nihonjijo from this time. What is needed from now on is toformulate the actual content of Nihon-jijo both theoretically and pratically.
