An LCMS is a powerful analytical instrument that allows the separation and identification of chemicals from complex mixtures. In biomedical research in which a bio-active compound is sought, an LCMS is critical for researchers who prepare and screen large numbers of candidate compounds for the right combinations of properties. The requested instrument will include a robotic autosampler that will allow the handling of dozens to hundreds of samples per day, allowing this one instrument to serve five different research groups as primary users and an additional six research groups as part-time users in the Chemistry Department at the University of Victoria.
