Edition and German translation of the Greek, Latin and Arabic testimonia on Alcmaeon of Croton and Hippon (DK 24 and 38)

The Greek philosophers Alcmaeon of Croton and Hippon (first half of the fifth century B.C.) are among the most interesting Early Greek philosophers because of their scientific and medical research (studies). In the frame of this project the Greek, Latin and Arabic testimonies of Alcmaion and Hippon will be entirely edited and translated into German. A special focus of this edition will be the reception history of these two philosophers until the middle ages.
