1.リチャードソンによるイメージトレーニングの描画教育方法に関する英国での資料調査と、我が国の学校における一連の実験授業の成果(学習過程の記録分析、子ども作品のデータベース化と比較分類等)から、学習における自発的態度の促進、感受と表現における個別的特性の認知と発達、イメージする能力の評価と育成に関する探究を進めた。その結果、内面的イメージの描画過程における脳内活動の変化に関する新規の実験計画を立案するに至り、今後の他研究分野との連携を含めた発展の方向性を見いだした。2.英国美術・デザインアーカイブでの調査等をもとに、20世紀英国美術教育における批評学習確立の背景となる、アーツ・カウンシルの方針と活動についての研究を継続中である。3.美術批評の学習過程と協同学習を基盤とした総合的な学習支援の方法と事例について、大学と学校・美術館等の連携による教育方法の開発を通して、特に言葉とイメージ、子どもの発達と美術批評、展示と学習環境の計画、自発的学習と自己・相互評価、協同学習における教師の役割などに着目し、研究を進めた。その成果は、大学所蔵の美術作品を用いたアートゲームの開発と適用、美術に関する創造的論述能力の発達支援を目指す中等教育と大学教育の連携によるカリキュラム開発を含めた高校生対象の美術論コンテストの企画へと結実し、社会貢献としての成果も示した。4.これらの諸成果の一部を以下の国際会議にて発表した。・Introductory Program of Teacher Training for Undergraduate Art and Design Students (International Society for Education through Art - 7^<th> European Regional Congress 1^<st> - 6^<th> July 2004 Istanbul, Turkey)・Japan's New Teacher Education System and Challenges for Art Students (International Society for Education through Art, Asian Regional Congress, 19-21 December 2004 Beijing, People's Republic of China)
