项目摘要

本研究は(異)文化を研究するという営為の近代性を解明することをその主要な目的としている。これを解明するためには、近代性の理解が必須である。この点に鑑み、平成15年度は、まず近代性の特徴として、直線的時間意識を手がかりに、工業化、都市化(職住分離)、個人主義のかかわりから考察し、論文発表を行った(「近代と時間:その文化性と歴史性」、Human Communication Studies,32,45-68,2004)。この時間意識と並んで近代を特徴付けるものとしての空間意識の観点とこれと密接に関わる「物事(文化を含めて)、つまり対象・客体、を正確に観察する(そして、記述する)」という研究者(観察主体)の認識形式(客観的認知)が歴史的にどのように形成されてきたのかを、とりわけ、視覚中心主義に焦点を当てて文献調査を行い、学会発表(日本コミュニケーション学会年次大会、(於)拓殖大学)を行い、それに基づいて論文発表(「近代の認識形式としての視覚優位性:視覚と空間・主体/客体・知・表象を中心として」経営と経済、84(4)、109-138、2005)を行った。視覚中心主義という近代の認識形式は遠近法の展開と密接に関わっており、遠近法を主体(観察者)と客体(観察対象)の明確な分離と構築、均質な空間認識、科学主義(客観主義)、人間中心主義と関連付け、ハイデガーの『世界像の時代』を参照しながら考察した。これらの研究に加えて、文化再生産、とりわけ、広義の教育との関連から文献考察を行い、合わせて関連学会に出席した(異文化間教育学会、日本社会学会)。特に、文化再生産における教育(学校-隠れたカリキュラム-やしつけ)の役割の観点から考察を行った。
