The purposes of this study are as follows:(1). Adding an authoring function to the IAG in order to encourage teachers to use the Instructional Activities Game [IAG] in their lessons.(2). Improving and extending the functions of the IAG so as to be used by teachers as a tool for exchanging ideas, comments, and lesson studies in order to improve their lesson plans and generalize their experience in ID tasks.(3). Developing new dialog interfaces of the IAG in order to use them in mathematics education and so on.(4). Conducting an experiment to verify the effect of the new functions. As for (1) and (2), new dialog interfaces for describing lesson plans were added to the Decision Making Game [DMG], which is one of two modes of the IAG. In addition, the format for describing DMG game materials as on plans was defined and, as well as a new function to generate the source code of the DMG game board was added to the Simulated Teaching Game [STG], which is the other mode of the IAG. Moreover the function of the IAG was extended in order to allow a lesson planner to designate the range of individuals who were able to access his/her lesson plan to comment and advise on it.Concerning (3), three dialog interfaces such as a concept map tool, a graph drawing tool and a mathematical formula were added, and an instructional strategy utilizing these tools was proposed to assist learners in acquiring analogical thinking.Regarding (4), an experiment was conducted to verify the effect of these new functions for sharing lesson plans as virtual lessons and receiving informative feedback from co-members. The result revealed that lesson plans written in the post-test were better than those written in the pre-test. It was also confirmed by another experiment that student teachers could make teaching materials of IAG by using the authoring function.
