保型形式のモジュラーサイクル上の周期を保型表現論、特にテータ対応を用いて研究した。テータ対応の基盤となるのは局所簡約dual pairの間の局所テータ対応だが、実ユニタリ群からなるdual pairの間の局所テータ対応の明示的な記述を与えた。また非アルキメデス局所体の場合にも2変数以下のユニタリ群に対して同様な記述を得た。その際に副産物として2変数ユニタリ群の1変数ユニタリ部分群に沿っての局所周期についてのGross-Prasad予想を証明した。またこれを用いて4変数準分裂ユニタリ群上のCAP保型形式と呼ばれる重要な保型形式の族を全て記述した。
