Cognitive Pragmatics : Analysis of the Dynamics of Norm and Deviation in Verbal Communication

本研究旨在建立“认知语用学”这一新的语言学范式，使反语、隐喻、转喻、提喻、限制语等各种修辞表达能够从言语交际中规范和偏差的动态变化中得到一致的理解。特别是，它强烈建议听者应该理解的不是一个给定的话语，而是说话者和听者当前都参与其中的动态言语事件。

This study aims at setting up 'Cognitive Pragmatics" as a new paradigm of linguistics, which enables various rhetorical expressions, such as irony, metaphor, metonymy, synecdoche, hedges, to be consistently comprehended in view of the dynamics of norm and deviation in verbal communication. In particular, it is strongly suggested that what a hearer should understand is not a given utterance but a dynamic speech event in which both a speaker and a hearer are currently involved.
