EBUS-TBNAを1000例以上に施行し、それらの微量サンプルからDNA・RNAを抽出、基礎実験を行う系を確立した。突然変異解析、異常メチル化解析、RNA発現解析、蛋白発現解析が可能となった。肺癌に対するEBUS-TBNAを取り入れた、治療戦略を確立し、臨床試験を開始した。
