研究の目的のうち、①統治初期から末期までの台湾総督府、朝鮮総督府、文部省による師範教育政策の変遷、②台湾・朝鮮における各師範学校創設経緯と制度の改編状況、及び学生数の推移、③各科における就学状況の実態と教育内容・方法の分析、学校別事例研究を継続中である。①②については概ね作業を終えているが発表には至らなかった。また、③に関連して韓国（春川・光州等）で資料調査を行い成果を得ることができた。さらに、本研究から派生した研究にも進展があった。具体的には以下の通りである。１）年表作成のために収集した『受験界』の記事には、師範学校の入学に関する情報以外にも、教員検定試験を含む資格検定試験を受検した朝鮮人読者の合格体験記が数多く含まれていた。そのため研究資料として「雑誌『受験界』掲載の朝鮮人投稿者による記事一覧」を作成し『植民地教育史研究年報』25号に掲載した。２）2022年3月『専修大学人文科学年報』第52号に掲載の「大正・昭和戦前期の中等教育機関と朝鮮人「留学生」」で取り上げた興文中学校（広島県呉市）について国内外から情報が寄せられた。師範学校研究から派生する中等教育機関の研究として広島県立図書館や呉市立中央図書館での資料調査を行い、関係者と研究交流の機会をもった。３）2023年3月、韓国で資料調査を行うことができた。韓国人研究者の協力を得て、2017年、2019年に予備調査を行っていた光州教育大学校教育博物館、春川教育大学校教育博物館を訪ね、資料の閲覧、収集を行うことができた。また、国家記録院ナラ記録館で公開されているデジタル文書も利用し、朝鮮の師範学校については学校別事例研究の準備を整えることができた。
