It was aimed to produce dissection lines of barley chromosomes(1H~ 7H) in commonwheat using the gametocidal(Gc) system and to develop a PCR-based method for theselection of the dissection lines. As a result, more than 50 dissection lines wereobtained for 2H, 3H, 4H, 5H and 7H, and effective PCR markers were found to detectthe presence of the individual dissected barley segments. Enough number ofdissection lines for 6H were not obtained and it was found difficult to apply the Gcsystem to 1H.
