アダマール行列およびその一般化である複素アダマール行列は、数学のみならず様々な分野に応用を持つ。今年度は、weighing行列の構成と、モジュラーアダマール行列の構成について研究を行った。昨年完成し論文を投稿した実ユークリッド空間の等角直線族については、すでに好意的な査読結果を得ることができた。査読者の意見をもとに、修正版を作成し、投稿済みである。一方、グレブナー基底や最適化ソフトウェアを使い、これまで存在が未解決であったweighing行列の構成に成功した。これまで主に代数的な技術を使った構成法でカバーできない場合でも、ある程度の大きさのweighing行列が多変数関数の最適化問題に帰着して数値計算により求まることがわかったことは今後の研究方針にも影響を与えることになった。これらの研究成果はカナダにおける国際会議で発表した。さらに、R. Craigen 氏との３人の共著によりBelevitchによるweighing行列の構成法を複素アダマール行列へ応用する方法について共著論文を準備中である。この構成法はTurynにより一般化されたものの、記述が困難であったが、包除原理を用いた新たな方法によって明解な記述法が最近得られた。これにより、Turynの定理を一般化することに成功した。生田卓也氏との３人の共著によりクラス３のアソシエーション・スキームから得られる複素アダマール行列の構成法について共著論文を準備中である。特に、アモルフィックな場合には無限個の複素アダマール行列がひとつのアソシエーション・スキームから得られることがわかっている。
