A Calgary-based small to medium enterprise approached SAIT for the first time to conduct applied research on their ultra-micro-bubble aerator system. SAIT's Industrial Water and Wastewater Lab as part of the Clean Technology cluster provides an advanced water pre-treatment pilot plant test cell, leading edge fabrication and prototyping equipment, and offers the company the controlled environment, facilities, subject matter expertise and technical expertise needed to optimize the efficiency of their technology. This project would extend the Lab's Clean Technology research to accelerated waste water remediation and recycle for municipalities and industries. The company will work closely with SAIT to obtain scientifically and technically sound results, and provide technical validation on the efficiency and efficacy of the aerator system. The knowledge gained will help the SME grow by commercializing an improved technology.
