The equipment requested under this proposal will support a research program on the development of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) gas sensors. MEMS offer a mature and cost-effective fabrication technology with the potential to innovate micro-sensors that outperform their macro equivalents and perform new functions.
