英文摘要
With the development of the Internet of Things applications (IoT), there will be more and more demands for robotics and sensors to be connected with IoT. However, most robotics and sensors are built on different operation systems and it is difficult to have access to various kinds of robotics over Android or Apple smart phones. This project is a collaborative effort with Environmental Instruments Canada (EIC) Inc., who is a leading designer and manufacturer of radiation detection equipment, primarily for the uranium mining industry. The company has developed a product for a radiation detection project. Now they are starting up a project for further developing a more general module which can control the behaviors of the robotics over the applications over the phones. This project is to develop a general control module connecting smart phones and robotics via Bluetooth Low Energy technology. The goal of the project is with the help of this module, users can control all of their sensors and robotics simply over their smart phones and developers can have a software friendly development kit for further application development. At the end of the project, a generally control module would be developed and it will bring both commercial and technical benefits to personal, company and technology researches.
