The overarching goal of this collaborative research project involving Memotext and Sheridan's Centre forMobile Innovation (CMI) is to improve treatment adherence, reduce readmissions to hospitals and clinics, andprovide insights that empower care-provider decision support. We aim to enhance digital patient engagementsusing mobile computing, health data science and machine learning. The following provides an overview of themain activities in this project: 1) Mobile app assessment and evaluation; 2) Assess the Memotext's digitalhealth platform from an architectural design and framework perspective. Refine and enhance the architecturaldesign in such a way that the following features may be provided; 3) Create Mobile App prototypes using thebest design choices and frameworks that meet the desirable characteristics; test and refine the apps using arapid iterative design methodology. Engage users and other stakeholders throughout the entire process, ifpossible; 4) Data science / Machine Learning research.
