Progressive Web Apps are gaining popularity and traction amongst businesses and developers because of the success of full device agnostic support. Companies that have launched Progressive Web Apps have seen impressive results. For example, Twitter saw a 65% increase in pages per session, 75% more Tweets, and a 20% decrease in bounce rate, all while reducing the size of their app by over 97%.ThinkResearch, an Ontario-based company, and Sheridan's Centre for Mobile Innovation (CMI) will collaborate to create a progressive web app which aims to provide the following benefits: 1) a single code base that will reduce maintenance costs and software release time; 2) leverage the investment ThinkResearch has put into building a custom testing and automation framework; 3) leverage user analytics tools currently available only in ThinkResearch's Web App; and 4) provide patients and clinical staff a seamless experience from desktop to mobile.
