Bionest Inc. is a company involved in wastewater treatment. In order to solve the problems related to wastewater contamination treatment, Bionest wants to improve its wastewater treatment systems based on a set of unconnected sensors measuring water quality, by integrating an Internet of Things (IoT) connection and an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm. This integration will greatly facilitate the valorization of the data collected by providing a preventive and remote capacity for its alarms and maintenance. Specifically, Bionest wants to extract some data from its massive database, format this data to make it compatible with an AI algorithm, and explore the capabilities of AI and IoT to predict alarms in order to prioritize maintenance visits. To do this, Bionest is seeking C2T3's expertise in IoT and AI to determine the solution paths for the development of this IoT-IA application case and converging towards an AI algorithm that reduces the occurrence of false alarms, creates dissatisfaction among customers and is costly to the company. For Bionest, this project is an important vehicle for innovation aimed at developing the company's best practices in accordance with Health Canada and Industry 4.0 standards for this sector of activity.
