SCHOOL AND INDUSTRY LINK FOR IMPROVING THE INFORMATION EDUCATION

日本的教育正处于转折点。学校必须认识到社会的需要，并与社会机构合作，以便对社会变化作出反应。加强与经济结构的联系，加强与企业的合作。因此，学校课程往往侧重于更多的职业或实用方面的知识，如信息技术。重要的是要分析日本工业界如何看待这种教育变化，以及他们如何评估教育变化的结果。从我们的调查来看，大多数公司仍然认为学校教育应该注重基本能力，尤其是创造力和性格塑造。公司内部的教育和培训仍然被认为是获得实用知识和技能的关键。预计在不久的将来，就业制度将会有更多的变化。然而，要让业界充分认识到教育的变化，并实现业界与学校之间的有效合作，还需要一段时间。

Japanese education is at turning point. Schools are required to recognize the needs of society and collaborate with social institutions in order to be responsive to the social changes. Closer link with economic structure and more collaboration with corporations have been encouraged. As a result, school curricula tend to focus on more vocational or practical aspects of knowledge such as information technology.It is important to analyze how Japanese industry looks at such changes in education and how they evaluate the outcomes of the educational changes. From our survey, most companies still suggest that school education should focus on basic abilities, particularly creativity and character-building. The In-company education and training are still considered to be crucial to obtain practical knowledge and skills.It is expected that there will be more changes in the employment system in the near future. However, it may take some time before the industry appreciate the changes of education fully and the efficient collaboration between the industry and schools can be made.
