Development of Learners'Participation Type Database Using Multimedia and Its Effects on Learner's Interests and Motivation.

The purpose of this study is to develop "Learners participation type database" using multimedia and to investigate its effects on learner's interests and motivation, ets. Here, "Learners participation type database" is made by learners under the teacher's supports, for storing and sharing their learning products.Main results obtained from this study are as follows. (1) The multimedia work was made by the student in my class with a multimedia development software "HyperCard", and registered in "Learners participation type database", and the effect and the improvement method of the class were examined based on the result of a questionnaire to the student. (2) It was clarified that participating in the multimedia work-making brought the improvement of a strong interests and motivation for the multimedia to students (more effective for the beginner), and the experience of production affected the evaluation of multimedia work. (3) The main future project is to improve the guidance method of production in group, and to apply of the study to "Learners participation type web page" in the internet.
