项目摘要
This reports relates to the research and development of a student-led CALL system which is based upon the CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) being firmly established in an educational site as an individual learning assisted system, has excellent operability, and enables pronouncing correction teaching. The developed CALL system has the following features ;1. A supplementation of audio information with visual information :Visual expression is one whose can be caught as an image and which has excellent memory. The student repetitively trains speaking and hearing information, the third party (teacher) evaluates the training result, and the evaluation result is fed back to the student by adding the voice data of the student to a visual symbol (tone symbol). This process enables the student to visually catch on objective pronouncing evaluation and deepen his understanding.2. Student-led type :For the conventional LL equipment, the teacher directly connects to students through switching operation and hears and evaluates the pronunciation of the student. This causes the student to be anxious or dissatisfied due to the interruption of the teacher, or the evaluation of an unacceptable pronunciation of the student. This system can be considered as a system where the student repetitively trains and understands the pronunciation, and thereafter requests the evaluation to the teacher to eliminate a learning anxiety.3. Learning and corrective teaching regardless of time and space :The voice data transmitted by the intention of the student is once stored into data-base. The teacher can correct the voice data and teach the student also out of school hours and the student can see the evaluation result from the data-base at any time. Then, the voice data transmitted by the student and the evaluation result are incorporated to a unity and presented to the student who can remember, regardless of an elapse of time, and reproduce the school situation at that time.
