项目摘要

本研究は、テレビ放送を、個別の番組としてではなく、われわれが生きている環境を形作るものとして捉え、この環境の分析を行うことを目的としている。具体的主題は、「戦争と原爆の記憶」である。わが国では例年、8月前半に満州事変から第二次世界大戦に到る戦争についての特集番組が多く組まれ、人々の戦争観の形成に大きく寄与している。8月前半、1日～15日の地上波アナログの全テレビ放送を録画・内容分析し、現代日本における戦争・原爆に関するメディア・ランドスケープを明らかにする。本年度は、H.19年度、H.20年度に録画記録したデータを分析する作業を行なった。分析結果の一端として数量的分析によって得られた知見を以下に列挙する。(1)登場人物は日本人と推定される者がH.19年で89.7%、H. 20年で81.1%。これに対し連合国(アジア地域を除く)側と推定された者がそれぞれ9.4%、15.9%であった。朝鮮(当時地域名)・中国、その他の日本占領地を含むアジア地域の者はそれぞれ1%以下、2%以下と、ごく少ない。(2)日本人の描かれ方は、H.19年で74.0%、H.20年で52.8%が被害者として描かれており、加害者としての取り上げはそれぞれ8.1%、7.4%であった。(3)日本人が被害者として描かれる比率はかなり大きく変動しているが、これは描写の仕方が変化したためではなく、北京オリンピックの放送編成に対する影響であったと考えられる。ワイドショーはオリンピック一色であり、ドラマについては、この期間、特集的なものはほとんど放送されなかった。結果としてH. 20年に当該戦争を描いた番組は、ほとんどドキュメンタリー形式の番組であり、ドキュメンタリーで比較すれば、H.19年とH.20年で日本人の描かれ方(被害者的/加害者的)に大きな差はなかった。
