Involvement of sympathoadrenal system in an acute jaw muscle bolld flow increase during sympathoexcitation

本研究旨在探讨交感肾上腺系统释放的循环儿茶酚胺对咬肌血流动力学的影响。本研究结果表明，循环肾上腺素通过β-肾上腺素能机制增强大鼠咬肌的急性血管舒张。咬肌血管β_2-肾上腺素能受体可被肾上腺髓质释放的肾上腺素优先激活，提示交感肾上腺系统参与了交感兴奋时下颌肌血流量的显著增加。

The present study was designed to examine the effects of circulating catecholamines released by sympathoadrenal system on the haemodynamics of the masseter muscle. The results of the present study indicate that circulating adrenaline elicits acute vasodilatation through aβ-adrenergic mechanism in the rat masseter muscle. Vascularβ_2-adrenergic receptors in the masseter muscle may be activated preferentially by adrenaline released from the adrenal medulla, suggesting that the sympathoadrenal system is involved in the marked jaw muscle blood flow increase during sympathoexcitation.
