项目摘要

作用素のsphereをsphereに移すinterspherical写像および部分的に定義された作用素値関数を期待される条件を満たして全体に拡大する補間の立場から、極値問題、作用素不等式およびノルム不等式を考察した。主要な結果を以下に述べる。(1)安藤は、作用素平均が写像として各変数に関して単調であることに着目してGolden-Thompsonのtrace不等式を補う下からの評価式の確立に成功した。また、異なるスカラーを中心として作用素の空間での2つのsphereが積写像で移されるとき、その値域を含む最小半径を持つ中心がスカラーのsphereの中心および半径を導出する公式を確立した。(2)中路と高橋は共同して、加重Hardy空間でのToeplitz作用素の可逆性を補間の立場から考察しその形を完全に決定した。また、Toeplitz作用素が準正規性を持つための条件を確立し、exposed関数を求める極値問題に応用した。(3)さらに、中路と高橋は、共同して、関数環の2次元表現は常に連続関数環全体の表現に拡大されることを見いだした。(4)中村はCaratheodory-Fejerの補間定理を応用して非共役作用素環の数域指数、すなわち数域半径とノルムの比の最小値の取り得る範囲を完全に決定した。(5)榊原は一般の*-半群での負定値関数に対するLevy-Khintin型の積分表示を調べた。
