项目摘要

本研究は、フランス革命期、1795年に成立した共和3年公教育組織法(通称ドヌ-法)を対象として、従来の研究の次のような問題点、即ち、共和3年公教育組織法がフランス史上初の総合的・体系的公教育法制であるにもかかわらず、「コンドルセ案の歪曲」にすぎないと捉えられ、この法制下の公教育の実態が未検討であった点に留意し、共和3年公教育組織法下の公教育の全体像、実態、歴史的位置の解明につとめた。その際に特に重視したのは、史料である。先行研究の問題点が主要に依拠した19世紀末の編纂のギョ-ム編史料集に由来していたため、本研究では、革命二百周年を機に新たに刊行された史料や、フランス国立古文書館所蔵の一次史料(日本の先行研究が用いていないもの)の収集、読解につとめた。現在までの研究成果としては、共和3年公教育組織法下の公教育の特色のひとつが、コンドルセ案では重視されていなかった祭典に大きな役割を与え、民衆の教育の場として重視したこと、他方で、旧来のコレージュにかえて「中央学校」という百科全書の理念に基づく学校を全国に設置し、エリート養成に重点を置いた学校教育制度の整備が進められたこと、が明らかにされた。さらにこのような民衆教育のための祭典と、エリート養成のための学校がもとに重視される公教育政策の系譜が、91年憲法体制下での公教育-92年の論議-共和3年公教育組織法に辿られることも解明された。このことは、コンドルセ案の流れとルペルティエ案の流れをもって革命期公教育史を捉える通説に大きな修正を捉すものである。さらにまた、共和3年公教育組織法のもとで、「中央学校」を主柱とする学校教育制度の再編が進められたことは、19世紀以降の特権的なフランス中等教育機関の原型が整えられていたことを意味している。この点は、18世紀の教育と19世紀の教育の連続面、断絶面を捉える上で重要な知見であり、『日本18世紀学会年報』にその成果の一部を発表した。その他の成果については、共和3年公教育組織法制定後、総裁政府が成立し、公教育の実施状況についての全国規模の調査などが行われていることから、総裁制府期の公教育の研究を進めたのち、論文としてまとめる予定である。

This study focuses on the organizational law of public education for the first time in the history of public education, which was established in 1795, and the legal system of public education for the first time in history. The status quo of public education under the legal system has not been discussed, and the position of the whole image, status and history of public education under the Republican 3-year public education organization law has been clarified. Special attention should be paid to historical materials. The problems of the previous research mainly depend on the compilation of historical materials at the end of the 19th century. This research is based on the collection and interpretation of historical materials newly published at the 200th anniversary of the revolution. Now, the research results show that the characteristics of public education under the Republican 3-year Public Education Organization Law are valued, and the public education field is valued. The concept of "central school" is set up nationwide. The development of the school education system is important.
