標的のチロシンキナーゼ活性部位のタンパクの立体構造に基づくドラッグデザインを、コンピューターシミュレーション法を駆使して、インデノピラゾール誘導体の内皮細胞増殖因子受容体チロシンキナーゼ阻害活性、ならびにde Novo分子設計により新しい内皮細胞増殖因子受容体チロシンキナーゼ阻害剤のシード化合物の探索に成功した。さらに、このシード化合物の誘導体から低酸素誘導因子阻害活性を有する化合物を見出した。
