(1)酸性チタンイオンを細胞培養液で中和し蛋白複合体にするとマクロファージが活発に貪食し酸化ストレスを惹起した。(2)単球はトリエチレングリコールモノマーを還元系酵素で化学代謝し生体防御することが遺伝子発現解析から明らかとなった。(3)マクロファージはチタン微小粉を貪食し酸化ストレスから炎症性サイトカインを産生し炎症と溶骨に繋がることが示唆された。(4)好中球による活性酸素産生は銅イオンによって濃度依存的に増加した。
