Excessive or inadequate formation of vasculature can contributes to diseases including lymphoedema, lymphangioma, cancer, ischaemia, ocular disease, cardiovascular disease and inflammation. Hence, we need to be able to manipulate vessel formation with molecular approaches. This program will use cutting edge methodologies to discover new molecular pathways that control vessel formation. The new knowledge generated will open up avenues to control vascular pathologies in the future.
