With the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, self-isolation is driving an increase in time and spending on gaming. As the studios transition to remote working, their productivity has been impacted; it is becoming difficult for them to keep up with the demand. Laundry Bear Games Inc. is a Toronto based studio, producing commercial video games and providing full game development services to their clients. They are currently working on a prototype for an original game codenamed "Wildwood". With Mixed Reality (MRC) Studio at Durham College, they want to create environment assets for a lush and visually appealing forest environment, which is both performant, and capable of running on mobile console hardware, but also visually striking and unique to stand out in a competitive indie games marketplace. This would help them launch this game in the market more efficiently. The company has reserved funds specifically for this project, in addition to their revenues, in order to expedite the launch of this game. The competitive advantage gained through this project will help them to increase their market share and hence resulting in increased revenues and job creation.
