The legal industry has begun modernizing and law firms are actively seeking solutions that can reduce wasted time, wasted space and help increase internal process efficiencies, increase revenues, and provide value-added client support. MinuteBox Inc. is a Toronto-based company that is focusing on helping law firms with storing and maintaining corporate record books, also known as "minute books." The uploaded documents in the minute books are manually scanned/categorized by the company's team members, which is a tedious, inefficient, and time-consuming process. Minute box has approached the AI Hub at Durham College to develop an artificial intelligence-based tool to be incorporated in their platform. This tool will automate their processes and workflow in order to automatically identify and extract important business and legally relevant information to provide a more effective corporate service.
