项目摘要

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to take its toll on the global economy; however, self-isolation has resulted in an increase in time and spending on gaming. Increased demand along with technological proliferation and innovation in both hardware and software are driving growth of the video game market. Gaming studios are looking to differentiate themselves in this highly competitive landscape. Thousand Stars Studio is an independent game studio based in Toronto developing immersive content. They have approached MRC Studio at Durham College to create 3D Environment Art for use in their upcoming game, Rama: The Prince. This collaboration will help them to launch the game in the market more efficiently. The company has reserved funds for the NSERC project cash contribution, as well as additional funds to expedite the launch of this game.. The competitive advantage gained through this project will help them to increase their market share, resulting in increased revenues and job creation.
